March 19 (02:44AM GMT): Partial eclipse of the Sun at 28º Pisces square Pluto at 28º Sagittarius.

Eclipses always indicate the end of one set of circumstances and the beginning of another. In this case, the combination of a solar eclipse with Pluto points to a set of events in which there needs to be a certain degree of destruction and transformation. This can have a great deal to do with one's idealism and belief system due to the nature of the two signs involved. On the world level, one doesn't have to look too far to see that the implications will involve mighty clashes of cultural and religious views (still! again! ad nauseum!). Look for increased levels of violence as parties seek to impose their views on others in the name of peace.

On the personal level, it is necessary for you to examine your natal charts and look to the following degree points: 24-30 degrees of the mutable signs and 0-2 degrees of the cardinal (naturally, the closer to 28º mutable, the stronger the effects that this eclipse-square will be for you). Should you have any planets or major points of your chart in any of these degrees, then this eclipse will have a potent individual message for you, one that involves your own process of growth and development. It will involve loss in the houses where this eclipse-square-to-Pluto falls. This loss should be viewed as a stage to greater abundance and personal growth. The way you release what is indicated and the way that you hold the empty space (with faith and focused awareness) will do much to shape the quality of what will be regenerated in its place as the rest of the year unfolds. The New Moons of June and September will add significant clues to how this is to work out for you.

Entire period: Uranus conjunct the North Node

The lunar nodal axis relates very strongly to the collective or mass consciousness. Where this axis falls in your horoscope speaks very loudly about how you affect and are affected by this level of collective (un)awareness. Uranus will definitely add its touch of revolutionary behavior. As we all know, he can be a very disruptive influence. Yet he is also the "Father of Archetypes," helping us to individuate and become our real Self. There will be no doubt about disruptive, revolutionary behavior continuing on during this period. But we also have a wonderful opportunity to evolve the next level of our personal development in the area where the conjunction occurs (14º-17º of Pisces). Thus if the Uranus/North Node conjunction were to fall on your Venus, look for ways of elevating and refining your sense of self-worth, your finances, and your values, so that your participation in the life of the collective consciousness (and its effects on you) will be that much more highly developed.

Entire period: Jupiter trine Saturn at 18º-19º Sagittarius/Leo with Neptune opposing Saturn from 18º-21º Leo-Aquarius.

The Saturn/Neptune opposition has been a constant feature in the heavens since August of last year. It culminated in exactitude just a couple of weeks ago on February 28th to be exact at 20º Leo/Aquarius. It takes on a bit of separating distance in March and April but
not by much. Look for this opposition to be exact again for the final time on June 25th at 21º.45' of these two signs. Saturn/Neptune is always a conflict between the real and the ideal, the practical and the possible, time and timelessness. In a more specific sense, when we consider that Neptune rules oil and Saturn, the urge to control—well it doesn't take a Nostradamus (or an Oken for that matter—not said in the same breath!) to appreciate what is taking place in the world. Now we throw a heap of super-Jupiter-in-Sag trine Saturn into the kettle and we get quite a mix. We now have the urge to create laws, morals, and ethics. We get grandiose plans and yes, perhaps even some altruistic initiatives from a few world thinkers. The problem is: is there any one with great mundane political power out there who is also conscious??? More than one maybe, a group of conscious men and women of Good Will with any practical, political power and influence—a couple of presidents, prime ministers, kings (aside from the kind King of Jordan), or queens, who also happen to be conscious and true spiritual leaders. Ah but Saturn/Neptune/Jupiter has gotten to me and I must be dreaming…

March 22-26: Mars at 18º-21º of Aquarius conjunct Neptune and opposing Saturn.

This should be an explosive period in the literal sense of the term. Look for political and economic upsets as groups of conflicting interests increase their activities. On the personal level, be very circumspect in taking actions of an individual nature that can be against the good or collective opinion of a group or organization of which you are a part. Be cautious about what may appear to you as selflessness on your part but which can be easily interpreted as egocentricity by others. The areas in your life where this will have most effect will be the two houses of the chart where these degrees fall and to a secondary extent to where 18º-21º of Taurus/Scorpio are placed in your chart. Keep in mind that the most intense effects of this set of aspects is when it falls atop another planet or major point in the natal map.

April 1-4: Venus square Saturn/Neptune at 18º-22º Taurus.

This can be a rather challenging period where world finances are concerned. It would not be my personal favorite day to make investments or sign contracts as there is liable to be some definite confusion if not outright deceit. This would be especially the case for all people who have 18º-22º of the fixed signs strongly emphasized in their charts. Be clear about your money issues with others, making sure you also understand what people are really saying to you in this respect.

April 6: Mars enters Pisces

Although the Sun is in Aries until April 20th, Mars is in a sign quite unfavorable to the solar position. This can easily augur more conflicts (Aries/Mars) about oil or events and interests that have to do with the oceans of the world (Pisces). But then, let me be optimistic about things. (I am usually an optimistic kind of man having Jupiter in Leo trine the Sun and the later sextile the Moon in my natal chart. But the world situation especially post-Clinton puts this optimism to the test on a daily basis.) The Sun is trine Saturn, sextile Neptune, and trine Jupiter from April 8-11. This should bring about some opportunities to make progress in the world situation—it cannot be totally resolved (that would take many thousands of years or more of human evolution), but perhaps there is a window during these days when some conflict somewhere in the world, may be be brought to an harmonious conclusion.

In your personal chart, take a look at where 19º-21º of the fire and air signs are located to see where some beneficial events are likely to manifest for you. I would see this in the realms of doors opening to reveal the right direction of some long-range plans; positive educational and/or travel directions are also likely.

The only exception I see to this brighter picture is with people who also have the 28th degree of the mutable signs prominent as Mercury squares Pluto at that degree on April 9th. This is the degree of the earlier solar eclipse. Look for this day to reinforce whatever the eclipse indicated for you. It is a good day for introspection and contemplation; a day to uncover secrets you may be hiding from yourself.
