Picnic lunch and dinner at one of Alan’s favorite restaurants—a true delight.

Day 3: Tómar—Arrival and check-in followed by lunch. Our afternoon will be devoted to a visit to the 13th century Convento do Cristo, center of activity of the Knights Templar during the Middle Ages with a guided tour offered by an expert historian. Overnight stay and dinner in one of the city’s finest restaurants.

ObidosDay 4: Óbidos—Located within a castle’s walls, this historic town offers many esthetic joys to the traveler. We can walk along the ramparts and take in the amazing views, visit some of the many interesting churches and monuments, and even stop to enjoy Óbidos’ famous cherry liqueur served out of chocolate cups. Lunch in Óbidos before taking some more time for wandering and shopping and then boarding our coach for the 90 minute return ride to Lisbon.
