April 19: Sun enters Taurus at 10.45pm.

April 19-22: Venus conjunct Mars in the last degrees of Pisces.
During these four days Venus is moving very slowly direct as she comes out of her retrogradation, remaining in 29 Pisces from April 12-23. From April 19-23, Mars will be transiting from 28-29º of Pisces as well and thus meeting with Venus in the sky. The exact conjunction will be taking place on April 21st. Anyone who has any important position in their chart at these degrees will surely benefit. This will come in the longer term mention above from Venus who will be happy to provide you with some form of material or emotional benefit relative to the houses and planets involved. When Mars enters the picture, so does passion and acceleration (even in Pisces, the waters of feelings get stirred up when Mars come close!). Look for situations involving the placement of 28-29º of the watery signs in your chart to really “bubble-up” during these four days. Personally, 29º of Pisces is square my natal Mars at 0 Cancer and I am giving a workshop on the 19th on the “Astrology of Human Sexuality.” How appropriate for my 8th house Mars!

April 22: Mars is happy to enter Aries at 01.45pm (I hope the rest of us will be as delighted!)
April 23: Sun trine Pluto at 3 Taurus/Capricorn.
There will be a lot of energy available for making the most out of your resources. This is certainly a good time to do some spring cleaning and gather in what is really valuable and recycle the rest. People with important placements in their natal chart at 2-4 degrees of the earthy signs may actually derive some form of material benefit today.

April 24: Venus is not so happy to enter Aries at 07.19am.
Mars and Venus will both be in Aries from April 24 until May 30. This will heighten passions for what was brewing under the surface with the two of them in watery Pisces will leap forth as this erotic pair (they get that way from traveling together, on their own Mars is simply sexy and Venus just sensual), burns up quite a fiery trail in Aries. This can be very exciting on the human level but care must be taken for the incredible acceleration that is always present in Aries will definitely slow down when these two are in Taurus come early June. Now Mars is definitely in charge and passions will rule but once Venus is the boss, practical considerations will be very much on the agenda (along with healthy doses of chocolate).

April 25: New Moon at 5.04 Taurus at 03.24am.

April 26: Mars square Pluto at 3 Aries/Capricorn.
A difficult contact to say the least that can easily indicate an explosive political/social conflict. Anyone with an important position at around 3º of the cardinal signs should be very objective about the true motivations behind their activities. This is no time to be overly self-projective if the goals are selfish in nature.

April 30: Mercury enters Gemini at 10.30pm.

May 2-3: Venus square Pluto at 3 Aries/Capricorn.
The day can be challenging economically in general. Personally finances can be problematic if you have anything in your chart at 2-4 of the cardinal signs that specifically relates to your 2nd or 8th houses or if this square makes a contact to the rulers of these cusps.

May 5: Sun is trine Saturn at 15 Taurus/Virgo.
A good day to fulfill responsibilities and put finances in order. If this trine falls in a positive position in your chart, it may serve you well to restructure your budget—you just might find that you can squeeze an extra dollar, pound, or euro out of your pocket.

May 7: Mercury turns retrograde (again!) at 05.01am at 1 Gemini.

May 13: Mercury still retrograde reenters Taurus at 11.54pm.

May 16-17: Sun is square to Jupiter and Neptune at 25-26 Taurus/Aquarius.
Confusion may reign on the world stock markets while conflicts abound relative to global accords on economic issues (what’s new?)! If these degrees fall in your horoscope making squares and oppositions to natal placements, general confusion is likely. One must always be very clear about the relationship between the practical and the ideal whenever there are conflicts between Taurus and Aquarius positions in the zodiac.

May 17: Saturn turns direct at 14.50 Virgo.
